United Way of Greater High Point hosted its sixth annual BackPack Drive in honor of #GivingTuesday on November 27, 2018.
In an effort to serve over 1,900 local students, United Way of Greater High Point collected snack, breakfast and lunch food in coordination with the national initiative #GivingTuesday. Items collected were distributed to those who receive food each weekend discreetly through the United Way BackPack program.
Food donations for the United Way BackPack program are gladly accepted year-round.
Appreciated items include:
Individual cereal boxes
100% juice boxes
Ramen noodles or microwavable pastas
8 oz. bottled waters or juice pouches
Cups of fruit, fruit snacks, crackers, etc.

Donations will be used to purchase BackPack Wishlist items.
UWGHP’s BackPack program works directly with 21 sites in the Greater High Point area to provide meals and snacks for local children at-risk of hunger.
