  PROGRAM REVIEW TEAM

Each year the Greater High Point community raises almost $5 million to help our friends and neighbors through the United Way of Greater High Point. A portion of the funds are distributed to partner agencies for programs in our community through our community investment process. The volunteers and staff at United Way would like to invite you to participate in our annual community investment process as a Program Review Team (PRT) member.

Volunteers review the program applications of our 27 partner agencies, tour facilities to learn about the programs, and listen to presentations to make funding recommendations for programs yearly. This allows volunteers to see how the money raised in the annual campaign is working in the Greater High Point community and make recommendations on how the money is spent.  The PRT consists of three panels— Income/Financial Stability, Education, and Health.

Each program requesting funding is assigned to one of these panels.  Each panel is responsible for making funding recommendations for each program assigned to it.  If you would like to volunteer, you can choose which panel you would like to serve on.  There is no better way to learn about our community needs or how our partner agencies are addressing those needs. Volunteer registration normally begins in February yearly.

Please contact Latoya Bullock, Vice President of Community Impact, at Latoya.Bullock@unitedwayhp.org for further information.
