What is the Grand Prize?

One lucky person will win a brand-new vehicle provided by the Vann York Auto Group. The vehicle provided is selected by Vann York Auto Group. 

 

How do I enter?

Any United Way of Greater High Point donor who gives at the Caring Gift level or higher will be able to complete a Vann York Car Giveaway entry form.

 

Who is eligible to win?

Any U.S. resident who is 18 years or older and makes a contribution of a caring gift (.6% of salary or 1 hour's pay per month or more) to United Way of Greater High Point's 2026 annual fundraising campaign. Completed entry forms must be given to the company's Employee Campaign Coordinator, who will forward them to United Way of Greater High Point at the conclusion of the workplace campaign. All entry forms must be included in the envelope provided or mailed with the pledge form to the offices of United Way of Greater High Point (815 Phillips Avenue, High Point, NC 27262). The drawing is limited to one entry per person. United Way reserves the right to determine the validity of the entries.

 

Who is NOT eligible to win?

United Way of Greater High Point staff, board members, their immediate families, and employees of the independent accounting firm that verifies and supervises the entries and drawings.

 

How will the finalists be selected?

There will be 10 drawings during the 2026 United Way campaign, a finalist entry form will be drawn from among the total eligible entries. Each of the finalists will be notified via telephone that he or she has qualified for the drawing and will be invited to participate in the car giveaway event where a single winner will win a brand-new vehicle. All the finalists must be present at the car giveaway event to receive a key or key fob and quality for the Grand Prize. 

 

What will happen at the car giveaway event?

Each of the finalists or a designated representative must attend the giveaway event. Each finalist will be given the opportunity to select a single key from a group of keys, which will be used to start or unlock a car. The finalist whose key unlocks or starts the vehicle will win the vehicle. 

 

What are the winner’s responsibilities?

The winner is required to pay all applicable taxes, titles, and registration fees relating to the transaction and must pay his/her pledge in full to United Way of Greater High Point by December 31, 2026. Before taking possession of the vehicle, the winner must obtain a valid driver's license and be able to provide valid proof of auto insurance to United Way of Vann York Auto Group. All finalists grant the United Way of Greater High Point and Vann York Auto Group the use of his/her name and photograph in all communications and publicity materials. 

 

As a condition of the award, the winner must agree to hold harmless United Way of Greater High Point, Vann York Auto in High Point, and their parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, agencies, officers, directors, and employees from responsibility for damages, losses or injuries, including death, personal injury or property damage, due in whole or part, directly or indirectly, from participation in this promotion or acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize.

UNITED WAY OF GREATER HIGH POINT TRIP GIVEAWAY RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

​​​The prize provides up to $10,000 in travel value toward a vacation, subject to the terms below. 

Prize Value & Payment Terms 

• The maximum prize value is $10,000. 

• This prize has no cash value and will not be paid out in cash. 

• If total travel costs are less than $10,000, unused funds will remain with United Way of Greater High Point and will not be refunded, credited, or transferred to the recipient. 

• If total costs exceed $10,000, the recipient is responsible for the difference. 

Expiration & Redemption 

• The vacation must be booked on or before December 31, 2027. 

• Failure to redeem by this date will result in forfeiture, unless United Way of Greater High Point grants approval for an extension. 

• In event of forfeiture, funds will remain with United Way of Greater High Point and will be used for the Backpack Program.   

 

Required Use of Approved Travel Agents 

• The recipient must book travel through one of the approved agents, independent bookings or outside vendors will not be reimbursed. 

The recipient will coordinate all planning through the selected travel agent. 

• Eligible expenses may include airfare, lodging, transportation, vacation packages, and approved travel fees. 

• This prize is non-transferable and may not be sold or reassigned.    

 

Taxes & Personal Responsibility 

• The recipient is responsible for any applicable taxes and required travel documentation (e.g., ID, passport, visas, insurance). Liability Waiver

 • United Way of Greater High Point does not control travel vendors and is not responsible for service disruptions, cancellations, or third-party failures. 

• The recipient assumes all risks associated with travel and releases United Way of Greater High Point, Forvis Mazars, and affiliated partners from related liability.
