Help, Assistance, Information and Referrals
What is 2-1-1?
2-1-1 (or 1-888-892-1162) is an easy to remember, three-digit telephone number that connects people with important community services to meet everyday needs and the immediate needs of people in crisis.
For example, 2-1-1 can offer access to:
- affordable high quality child care/after-school care;
- counseling and support groups;
- health services;
- food, clothing and housing and
- services for seniors and the disabled.

Project Board Development
What is PBD?
Project Board Development is a leadership development program. It is designed to identify, recruit, train and place multi-cultural and geographically diverse candidates on committees and governing boards of local health and human service organizations, including those affiliated with the United Way of Greater High Point.
